Lost Body Parts
"Offshore, anchored in the channel between our island and Ko Yao, shone the lights of the army boat, a full-sized troop carrier squatting on the water like a giant metal hen; fat and omnipotent, its radar spinning silently on top and me with the feeling it knew something we didn't. On deck, dim outlines of soldiers stopped by the railings with mouths full of cigarettes and quick Thai."
I'm pleased to announce that Lies With Occasional Truth will be featuring my story "A Severed Arm" in its new 100th Anniversary Issue up online now.
As an emerging writer, it feels great to finally have fictional pieces out for the world to enjoy. Publications such as these keep the wind in our too-often deflated sails. Many thanks to the editorial staff there.
