Tips on clothing for a Backpacker!

Backpacking due to its flexibility is a very popular way to travel as its an excellent way to see the world cheaply.

Here are a few tips on what you will need as a backpacker.

Packing

It is important to pack lightly as you will be carring your backpack around with you whilst hiking round your chosen destinations. Although you must keep in mind your backpack will need to contain everything you need whilst you’re away.
The size of backpack is also important as you need to be aware that there are size/weight restrictions on planes and also trains and buses can be very crowded and if you’re carrying a very large backpack it could be hardwork boarding your chosen method of transport.
Clothing

Keep clothing down to the bare minimums, it obviously depends on where you are going but its advisable to take light layers of clothes so you can protect yourself from all weathers.
T-shirts short and long sleeved, a fleece, underwear and socks, cargo trousers are ideal as they have lots of useful pockets and also a pair of jeans as these are very hard wearing.
Swim wear and sandals/trainers are an essential if you are backpacking to somewhere warm and hiking boots are a good idea for trips to colder climates. A hat suitable for your destination and a light weight waterproof coat is essential.
